The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, fresh DM the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a wide array of heroes, and a exciting storyline including angels, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in power within the city.

Note: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.

This warrior group features Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem unsuited, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

First, the team knows exactly where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the campaign’s events—used the foes for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his debts and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as key figures in the powerful family could assist the party enter places they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and Wicander defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the family.

This means them no alternative but to travel to the northern region in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we discover that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight players to assemble the Explorers and Schemers tables.

Audiences can expect discovering which players will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on next week.
